For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
GROSS FLOOR AREA. Gross useable floor area of the building.
GROSS LEASABLE AREA. Gross leasable area of building.
LODGING, ROOMING AND BOARDING HOUSES. Any dwelling in which one or more rooms is rented to a person or persons.
MULTI-FAMILY, EFFICIENCY UNIT. A living unit without a separate bedroom.
PARKING SPACE. An area sufficient to park one automobile. PARKING AREA shall be used for automobile parking only, with no sales, dead storage, repair work, dismantling or servicing of any kind being permitted thereon.
RESERVOIR SPACE REQUIREMENTS. Space required for automobiles waiting to enter a facility.

Adequate off-street parking shall be provided for various types of land use or business establishments. Land use, either new or modified, or buildings, either remodeled so as to increase parking needs or new structures, shall meet the off-street parking requirements and standards, as herein provided. Off-street parking requirements shall be provided within the property lines of the property to be developed or modified and shall not be located within the public rights-of-way of streets or alleys.
