ORDINANCE NO. 2021-01

WHEREAS, on June 28, 2019, the City of Ronan entered into a contract with Sterling Codifiers, Inc., for recodification of the Ronan Ordinances. During the term of the contract, Sterling Codifiers, Inc. became a member of American Legal Publishing Corporation.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF RONAN, MONTANA:

1. From and after the date of passage of this Ordinance, the City Code of the City of Ronan, Montana, prepared by American Legal Publishing Corporation, copyright 2020, containing the compilation of all ordinances of a general nature together with the changes made to said ordinances under the direction of the governing body of the City, including, but not limited to changes in the numbers of the ordinances, shall be adopted as the official code of the City of Ronan, and further, accepted in all courts as the official code and law of the City of Ronan, as enacted by the Mayor and City Council.

2. There is hereby adopted, as a method of perpetual codification, the loose-leaf type of binding together with the continuous supplement service, provided by American Legal Publishing Corporation, whereby each newly adopted ordinance of a general and permanent nature amending, altering, adding to, or deleting provisions of the official city code is identified by the proper catchline and is inserted in the proper place in each of the official copies, one copy of which shall be maintained in the office of the City Clerk, available for inspection at any and all times that said office is regularly open.

3. All ordinances, of a general or special nature, shall continue in full force and effect unless specifically repealed or amended by a provision of the City code.

4. All ordinances, or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith, are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.

5. This Ordinance and the Code adopted by the same shall be in full force and effect thirty (30) days after passage and approval.

NOW, THEREFORE, the foregoing Ordinance shall become effective on May 5, 2021.
