§ 31.069 RECORDS.
   In addition to the record of ordinances and other records which the Clerk is required by statute to keep, he or she shall keep a register of all licenses and permits issued; and the payments thereon; a record showing all of the officers and regular employees of the village; and such other records as may be required by the Board of Trustees.

§ 31.070 SEAL.
   The Clerk shall be the custodian of the village seal, and shall fix its impression on documents whenever this is required.

§ 31.071 DOCUMENTS.
   The Clerk shall be the custodian of all documents belonging to the village which are not assigned to the custody of some other officer.

§ 31.072 INDICES.
   The Clerk shall keep and maintain a proper index to all documents and records kept by him or her, so that ready access thereto may be had.

§ 31.073 ADDITIONAL DUTIES.
   In addition to the duties herein provided, the Clerk shall perform such other duties and functions, as may be required by statute or ordinance.

§ 31.074 DEPUTY CLERK.
   (A)   The Office of Deputy Clerk is hereby created. The Deputy Clerk shall have all the powers of the Clerk, but shall act only in the event the Clerk is unavailable to discharge his or her duties. The Clerk may appoint one Deputy Clerk, who shall serve at the pleasure of the Clerk, and shall have a term coextensive with that of the Clerk.
   (B)   The Deputy Clerk shall receive as his or her sole compensation, the sum of $100 per meeting attended.

§ 31.075 COMPENSATION FOR VILLAGE CLERK.
   From and after the expiration of the present term of office of the Village Clerk, the Village Clerk will receive for his or her services $400 per month. The Village Clerk may be allowed two absences in each year for which compensation may be paid at his or her full compensation if such Clerk can show due cause for such additional absences such as illness of the Clerk, serious illness of a member of the Clerk’s immediate family, a death in the Clerk’s immediate family or other like cause.

VILLAGE TREASURER
§ 31.090 APPOINTMENT; TERM.
   (A)   There is created the Office of Treasurer, who shall be appointed annually on May 1 of each year by the President and Board of Trustees.
   (B)   He or she shall serve for a term of one year or until his or her successor has been duly appointed and qualified.
