§ 31.050 ETHICS ADVISOR.
   The Village Attorney shall be the ethics advisor for the village. As such, the Village Attorney shall provide guidance to the officers and employees of the village concerning the interpretation of and compliance with the provisions of this subchapter and state ethics laws.

VILLAGE CLERK
§ 31.065 APPOINTMENT OF CLERK; TERM.
   The Village Clerk shall be appointed by the Village President with the concurrence of the Village Board. The term of office will be four years, or until a successor is appointed and is qualified.
§ 31.066 BOND.
   Before entering upon the duties of his or her office, the Village Clerk shall execute a bond in such amount and with such sureties as is provided by statute, conditioned upon the faithful performance of his or her duties.

§ 31.067 SIGNATURES.
   The Clerk shall seal and attest all contracts of the village and all licenses, permits and documents as shall require this formality.

§ 31.068 DUTIES.
   The Clerk shall keep the minutes of the Board of Trustees and preserve all ordinances enacted in an ordinance book as provided by statute.

§ 31.069 RECORDS.
   In addition to the record of ordinances and other records which the Clerk is required by statute to keep, he or she shall keep a register of all licenses and permits issued; and the payments thereon; a record showing all of the officers and regular employees of the village; and such other records as may be required by the Board of Trustees.
