GENERAL PROVISIONS
(A) A person commits a petty theft when the value of the property is under $300 and he or she knowingly:
(1) Obtains or exerts unauthorized control over property of the owner;
(2) Obtains by deception, control over property of the owner;
(3) Obtains by threat, control over property of the owner; or
(4) Obtains control over stolen property knowing the property to have been stolen by another or under such circumstances as would reasonably induce him or her to believe that the property was stolen and:
(a) Intends to deprive the owner permanently of the use or benefit of the property;
(b) Knowingly uses, conceals or abandons the property in such a manner as to deprive the owner permanently of such use or benefit; and
(c) Uses, conceals or abandons the property, knowing such use, concealment or abandonment probably will deprive the owner permanently of such use or benefit.
(B) It shall be unlawful to commit a petty theft.

Any of the following acts by a person shall be a violation of this general offenses title:
(A) To knowingly damage any property of another without his or her consent;
(B) Recklessly, by means of fire or explosive damage property of another;
(C) Knowingly start a fire on the land of another without his or her consent;
(D) Knowingly injure a domestic animal of another without his or her consent; or
(E) Knowingly deposit on the land or in the building of another, without his or her consent, any stink bomb or any offensive smelling compound and thereby, intend to interfere with the use by another of the land or building.
