(A) There are hereby adopted by the city and in all contiguous unincorporated territory to the extent and as provided by Chapter 162 (Zoning) of the Municipal Code of the City of Quincy (2015) (hereafter referred to a “MCCQ”) and all properties subject to annexation by the city by covenant or operation of law, for the purpose of regulating and controlling the design, construction, quality of materials, erection, installation, alteration, repair, location, relocation, replacement, addition to, use of, maintenance of building systems in buildings thereto, the codes set forth herein. The provisions of the codes shall be adopted and incorporate as fully as if set out at length and the provisions thereof as added, deleted, inserted, modified and amended by this chapter shall be controlling in regard to all buildings and structures.
(1) The “2018 International Building Code” (hereinafter “Building Code”) published by the International Code Council, Inc. including Appendices C, H and K and the amendments prescribed in § 150.02 is hereby adopted.
(2) The “2018 International Residential Code” published by the International Code Council, Inc. including Appendices A, B, C and Q and the amendments thereto prescribed in § 150.03 is hereby adopted.
(3) The “2018 International Existing Building Code” published by the International Code Council, Inc. including the amendments thereto prescribed in § 150.04 is hereby adopted.
(4) The “2018 International Mechanical Code” published by the International Code Council, Inc. including Appendices A, B and C and the amendments prescribed in § 150.05 is hereby adopted.
(5) The “2018 International Fuel Gas Code” as published by the International Code Council, Inc., including Appendices A, B and C and the amendments thereto prescribed in § 150.06 is hereby adopted.
(6) The “2018 International Property Maintenance Code” published by the International Code Council, Inc. including Appendix A and the amendments thereto prescribed in § 150.07 is hereby adopted.
(7) The “2017 National Electrical Code” (hereinafter “Electrical Code”) published by the National Fire Protection Association, Inc. including the amendments thereto prescribed in § 150.08 is hereby adopted.
(8) The “2018 International Fire Code” (hereinafter “Fire Code”) published by the International Code Council, Inc. including Appendices B, C, D, E, F, and G and the amendments prescribed in § 159.01 is hereby adopted.
(9) The “Illinois Plumbing Code” (hereinafter “Plumbing Code”) as promulgated and as may hereinafter from time to time be amended by the Illinois Department of Public Health of the state, as provided in ILCS Ch. 225, Act 320, § 35 , shall mean the Minimum Code of Standards for Plumbing and is hereby incorporated by this reference.
(B) The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to maintain on file in the Office of the City Clerk one copy each of the International Building Code, the International Fire Code, the International Mechanical Code, the International Property Maintenance Code, the International Residential Code, the International Existing Building Code, the International Fuel Gas Code, and the National Electrical Code as herein adopted and shall be made available for public inspection and examination.
