§ 150.06 AMENDMENTS TO INTERNATIONAL FUEL GAS CODE.
   The International Fuel Gas Code is hereby amended as follows:
   (A)   Section 101 (Title) shall have inserted therein “City of Quincy” where provision is made for the name of the jurisdiction.
   (B)   Section 103 (Department of Inspection) is hereby repealed and a new Section 103.1 is adopted in lieu thereof as follows:
         Section 103.1 Department of Building Safety, Code Official defined. The term “department of building safety” as used in this code shall mean the Office of Inspection of the Department of Planning and Development as provided for in §§ 39.50 through 39.54 (Department of Planning and Development) of the Municipal Code of the City of Quincy, Illinois, 2015. The term “building official” as used in this code shall mean the duly appointed Director of Inspection and Enforcement of the City of Quincy, Illinois and including any designee thereof.
   (C)   Section 106 (Permits) is not hereby adopted, providing in lieu thereof that any reference to permits shall be to § 162.210 of the Municipal Code.
   (D)   Section 108.4 (Violation penalties) is hereby repealed.
   (E)   Section 108.5 is repealed and a new Section 108.5 is adopted in lieu thereof as follows:
         Section 108.5 Stop work orders. Upon notice from the code official that work is being performed contrary to the provisions of this code or in a dangerous or unsafe manner, such work shall immediately cease. Such notice shall be in writing and shall be given to the owner of the property, the owner’s authorized agent, or the person doing the work. The notice shall state the conditions under which work is authorized to resume. Where an emergency exists, the code official shall not be required to give a written notice prior to stopping the work. Any person who shall continue any work on the system after having been served with a stop work order, except such work as that person is directed to perform to remove a violation or unsafe condition, in addition to other relief available in law or in equity, shall be subject to fines and other, penalties as provided in § 10.99 of the Municipal Code.
   (F)   The following appendices are hereby adopted:
      (1)   Appendix A - Sizing and Capacity of Gas Piping.
      (2)   Appendix B - Sizing of venting systems serving appliances equipped with draft hoods, Category I appliances and appliances listed for use with Type B vents.
      (3)   Appendix C - Exit terminals of mechanical draft and direct-vent venting systems.
