Any agreement(s) which may be, at the direction of Council, negotiated on behalf of the City with any labor organization or other group recognized by Council as the bargaining agent for any City employees, which may contain provisions deviating from the provisions of Section 169.02, 169.03, 169.04, 169.05, 169.06, 169.07, 169.09, 169.10 or 169.16, or any such fringe benefit or recognized negotiable item, shall prevail in authority and supersede such provisions of this chapter for the duration of the agreement(s), provided that the terms of such agreement(s) are authorized and adopted by Council by ordinance.
