2-1-1: DEFINITIONS:

As used in this chapter, the following words and terms shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section:

BUSINESS: Any employment, occupation or commercial activity engaged in for the purpose of realizing gain or for livelihood, including home occupations defined in section 9-1-2 of this code, or any amendments thereof.

BUSINESS LICENSE: A license required under this chapter.

CITY: The city of Ponderay.

ENTITY: A corporation, partnership or other legal form authorized by law to conduct a business, trade or profession.

PROFESSION: A vocation or occupation requiring special education and skill, including, but not limited to, the practice of law, the practice of medicine, the practice of dentistry and the practice of chiropractic.

TRADE: An occupation or activity which a person has learned and which they carry on for the purpose of realizing gain or for livelihood. (Ord. 125, 3-17-2014)
