Whenever it shall be necessary to interfere with wires or cables of a public utility in moving a building, the terms of any special or franchise ordinance governing shall apply and the bond therein specified shall be given. If no such terms apply then the Mayor shall estimate the expense of fixing the wires and the bond to be given to cover such expense.

When any moving building shall approach any fire alarm wire or pole which shall be endangered by the removal of such building or structure it shall be the duty of the mover to notify the Fire Chief of the community fire district at least six hours before reaching such wire or pole so that they may be removed or cared for by the city authorities.

Pursuant to 65 ILCS 5/1-3-1 et seq., the following provisions of the 2006 International Code, most recent edition, and as hereafter supplemented and/or amended, are hereby adopted for use in the City of Polo:
(A) 2006 International Residential Code;
(B) 2006 International Building Code; and
(C) 2006 International Property Maintenance Code.

Unless specifically provided elsewhere in this Code of Ordinances, any person found to have been in violation of any of the terms and provision of any of the codes adopted in §150.155 through 150.177 shall be fined a minimum of $100 but not in excess of $750 plus court costs and fees. Each day that a violation continues shall be deemed to be a separate offense.
