3-1A-3: LICENSE FEES:
Before a license shall be issued to any person to operate or open a billiard or pool hall, said person shall pay to the Clerk a license fee of fifteen dollars ($15.00) per year for each pool or billiard table. Said license shall expire on the last day of the calendar year. (Ord. 285, 6-13-67; 1990 Code)
3-1A-4: TRANSFER OF LICENSE:
The license herein granted shall be a personal license to the person making application therefor, and if, during the term for which said license is granted, the said billiard or pool hall be sold or transferred to any other person, the license shall immediately terminate; provided, however, the successor of such license may secure a license as hereinabove provided in the same manner as the original licensee without being required to pay any additional charge for the unexpired term of the original license. 3-1A-5: MINORS IN POOL AND BILLIARD HALLS:
It shall be unlawful for the proprietor, manager or employee of any public pool or billiard hall to allow any child or minor under the age of eighteen (18) years to frequent or loiter in such. (1959 Code §6-120; 1990 Code)

3-1B-1: DEFINITIONS:
When used in this Article, the following words and phrases shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this Section:
   MACHINE Means and includes what is commonly known as "pinball", "marble" and every machine, device or apparatus of whatsoever kind, nature or description, operated by the use of coins, marbles, merchandise tokens, slugs or chips, when wholly or partially as a result of skill on the part of the person playing the same, prizes, premiums, checks, money, or other tokens of value are offered or given by the owner, person or persons maintaining or operating the same, either directly or indirectly and/or automatically by such machine.
   OPERATOR Any person, firm, copartnership or corporation operating a place of business in the City and maintaining therein any one or more of such machines where the same may be played by the public and also any firm, copartnership or corporation maintaining any one or more of such machines where the same may be played in public.
