7-1-2: REMOVAL OF SNOW AND ICE:
   A.   Any and all persons owning or occupying premises abutting or adjoining any sidewalk in the City must keep all snow and ice removed from such sidewalk at all times. (1959 Code §9-201, amd. Ord. 599, 2-11-2020)
   B.   No person shall deposit snow or ice into City streets or alleys. (Ord. 599, 2-11-2020)
   C.   Abatement; Assessment of Costs: Should any person fail, neglect or refuse to remove the snow or ice from the sidewalk in front of his premises for a period of twelve (12) hours, then, in that event, the said snow or ice, or both, may be removed at the expense of the City and the expense thereof will be assessed as a tax. Such assessment shall be certified to the County Assessor or other proper County official having charge of the making of the assessment role and such assessment shall be placed on the assessment roll and collected in the same manner as other City taxes are collected.    D.   Violations; Penalties: In addition to the abatement provisions of this Section for removal of snow at the owner's expense, a violation of subsections (A) or (B) above shall be an infraction punishable as set forth in Section 1-4-1 of this Code. (Ord. 419, 2-27-89, amd. Ord. 599, 2-11-2020)
