1523.08   WOOD SHINGLES.
   No new roofs shall be covered with wood shingles, but existing wood-shingled roofs may be repaired with wood shingles providing the area repaired during any period of five years does not exceed twenty-five percent of the entire area of the roof.
   With the above exception, the entire roof shall be replaced with the materials outlined in Sections 1523.02 through 1523.07.
   The Building Commissioner, in conjunction with the Chief of Fire, shall have the power to condemn and have removed any wood-shingle roof that, in their opinion, is in such a deteriorated condition as to be a fire hazard.
