Other roof coverings, such as metal or canvas deck, may be used when the type and weight of material and method of application are approved by the Building Commissioner. Cedar-shake roofing may be used if installed on a seventy-five foot frontage minimum lot size when the type and weight of material and method of application are approved by the Commissioner.
