(a) There is hereby created a Bureau of Housing Inspection within the Department of Public Safety. The Bureau shall be composed of a Housing Inspector, who shall be in the classified civil service, and such other employees, who shall also be in the classified civil service, as Council may from time to time designate.
(b) It shall be the duty of the Bureau of Housing Inspection to enforce the provisions of the Housing Code.
(c) The City Civil Service Commission is hereby authorized and directed to prepare qualifications for the position of Housing Inspector and thereafter prepare and conduct a competitive examination for such position.
