FOOD DEALERS
§ 112.15 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   FOOD. Includes beverages.
   FOOD DEALER. Includes every person engaged in the sale of food or beverage, other than alcoholic liquor, intended for human consumption.

§ 112.16 SALE OF UNWHOLESOME FOOD PROHIBITED.
   No person shall offer for sale, or keep for the purpose of selling or offering for sale, any food of any kind intended for human consumption which is spoiled or tainted or is unwholesome and unfit for human consumption for any reason.

§ 112.17 ADULTERATED FOODS PROHIBITED.
   It shall be unlawful to sell, or offer for sale, or to keep for that purpose, any food or drink intended for human consumption which has been adulterated by any material harmful in any way or which does not comply with the statutes governing the same.

§ 112.18 REFUSE ACCUMULATION PROHIBITED.
   It shall be unlawful to permit any accumulation of refuse or waste of any kind to remain on any premises used for the storage or sale of food intended for human consumption for more than 24 hours, and it shall be unlawful to permit any decaying animal or plant material to remain on the premises.

SLAUGHTERHOUSES
§ 112.30 CERTAIN ANIMALS NOT TO BE SLAUGHTERED.
   (A)   It shall be unlawful for any person to slaughter or permit the slaughter of any cattle, swine, sheep, or poultry for human consumption if the animals or poultry are in a diseased condition, overheated, or feverish.
   (B)   No calf less than 4 weeks old or less than 125 pounds live weight, no pig less than 6 weeks old, and no ram less than 8 weeks old shall be slaughtered and sold for human consumption.

§ 112.31 SLAUGHTERHOUSE CONSTRUCTION STANDARDS.
   It shall be unlawful to use any building for a slaughterhouse unless the floor is covered with cement or other impervious material and is properly sloped to a well trapped outlet having contact with a sewer. The interior walls of these buildings shall be covered to a height of 7 feet with smooth, impervious material; the yards and pens shall be paved with brick, cement, or similar material.
