(a) The fees for a demolition permit shall be as follows:
(1) Accessory building: $100.00.
(2) Single-family residence (including any accessory building associated therewith): $200.00.
(3) All other buildings: $300.00.
(b) In addition to the permit fee set forth above, the permit applicant shall post a one thousand dollar ($1,000) grading and demolition completion bond with the Village. The purpose of said bond shall be to insure that all demolition debris is removed from the site, that no demolition debris is used to back- fill the site and that the demolition process does not change the grade of the site other than in accordance with a Village approved grading permit In this regard, the permit applicant shall be required to contact the Village for an inspection, both after the demolition is complete, but prior to any back-filling of the basement area of the structure that was razed, and after any back-filling of the basement area. Provided that said inspections show that the permit applicant has complied with the conditions applicable to the bond, the bond shall be refunded/returned to the permit applicant.

Driveway permits shall be applied for and issued in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 1025 of this Code.

The Village may issue a Stop Work Order for any violation of Part Twelve or Part Fourteen of the Village Code. All construction and demolition work, as specified on the Stop Work Order, shall stop immediately until the Village removes the Stop Work Order in whole or in part. In regard to said Stop Work Orders, the following conditions shall apply:
(a) For work projects started without a permit, where a permit would otherwise be required, the property owner must either apply for a permit or remove the work in violation.
(b) For work projects started with a permit, where the work has exceeded the plan of work authorized by the permit, the property owner must either apply for another permit or remove the work in violation.
(c) For work projects started without a permit, where such work is prohibited, the property owner must remove the work and repair any damage caused by the work and restore the site to its prior condition.

Whoever violates or fails to comply with any of the provisions of this chapter shall be fined not less than one hundred dollars ($100.00) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) for each offense. A separate offense shall be deemed committed each day during or on which a violation or noncompliance occurs or continues. Fines shall be levied only with Council approval after review of all facts and circumstances.
