Using water connected to the city’s water utility for the purpose of filling swimming pools within the city limits is allowed according to the following requirements and the city’s current pool filling policy:
(A) (1) Residents may fill their pools without the assistance of city personnel and upon doing so according to the pool filling policy, will receive an exemption on sewer charges associated with the pool filling, once per year.
(2) The customer must contact the Water/Finance Department prior to filling the pool in order to receive the exemption.
(3) The customer is charged the current water rate.
(B) Residents may receive assistance from city personnel for filling their swimming pool according to the following guidelines:
(1) The customer completes a Pool Filling Request at the Water/Finance Department and pays at the time of the request the current pool filling fee as adopted in the annual fiscal year budget for the city.
(2) Water for filling pool is obtained from a fire hydrant by the Water & Sewer Department according to established policies for bulk water sales.
(3) The customer is charged the current bulk water rate.
