§ 2-52  INTEREST OF CONTRACTS OR PURCHASES.
   It shall be unlawful for any officer or employee of the city directly or indirectly to become a contractor for work done for the city, or to become directly personally interested in or receive profit from any purchase of supplies for any department of the city.  Any person shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and removed from office.
