(A) (1) For the purposes of this section, the word
CONNECTION shall be construed to be that portion of water or sewer pipe between main and property line.
(2) The city is responsible for water service to the meter. This city is responsible for sewer service to the clean out, which is normally located at the property line.
(3) Water connections shall be kept in repair by the city and at the expense of the city.
(4) Necessary renewals of water connections shall be made by the city, but at the expense of the property served.
(B) Every leak or break in a sewer connection shall be promptly repaired, and every obstruction therein shall be promptly removed by the owner or occupant of the property served by the connection.
