§ 15-46  BACKGROUND CHECK.
   (A)   Upon receipt of an application, the Director of Parks and Recreation shall conduct a background check of each applicant.  If a conviction is found in the FBI criminal history repository, the Director of Parks and Recreation shall request a copy of the conviction from the Police Department of the locality in which the offense occurred to make certain the individual in question is the actual offender.
   (B)   If a question exists as to the actual offender in a case, the Director of Parks and Recreation shall submit the applicants' fingerprints to the FBI for verification of criminal history.  Any applicant may be prohibited from coaching an organization if she or he has been convicted of a crime involving:
      (1)   Narcotic drug law offense in the past ten years;
      (2)   Two or more alcohol related offenses in the past ten years;
      (3)   Violation of domestic abuse or child abuse law;
      (4)   Conviction of any offense against the welfare of a child;
      (5)   Aberrant behavior that presents a potential danger to self or others;
      (6)   Conviction of any offense related to sex or sexual misconduct; and
      (7)   Falsifying their application form.
