(A) Any person engaged in or desiring to engage in any activity, which requires a permit as listed in Volume V, Fire Prevention, of the State Building Code, shall obtain, complete and file an application with the fire official. Failure to obtain, complete and file an application shall
constitute a violation of this code. The fire official is authorized to refuse, deny or revoke any permit sought or granted for non-compliance or violation of this article of the technical codes adopted herein by reference.
(B) (1) No person shall maintain, store or handle materials or conduct processes which produce conditions hazardous to life or property or install equipment used in connection with the activities without filing an application and obtaining a permit as required by the fire official and prescribed in Volume V, Fire Prevention, of the State Building Code and this code.
(2) Failure to file an application and obtain a permit shall constitute a violation of this code. Before a permit may be issued, the fire official shall approve the application, then inspect and approve the receptacles, vehicles, buildings, structures, storage areas, devices, processes and conditions related to the permit.
(C) Permits shall be renewed on or before the expiration date indicated on the permit. The fire official may require the completion and filing of a new application and inspection.
