(A) All pump stations shall have a backup generator on site.
(B) All pump stations shall be equipped with a programmable logical controller (PLC) and dialer for emergency condition notification. As a minimum, the following shall be reported:
(1) Overflow; and
(2) No power.
(C) All pump stations shall have a suitable all-weather drive with sufficient turnaround space and dedicated ROW at the developer's expense which the ROW will be accepted by the city.
(D) If the pump station has a long force-main, greater than 750 feet, chemical feed equipment shall be provided to control hydrogen sulfide.
(E) The Public Works Department shall approve all plans and specifications for pump stations and shall inspect all construction.
(F) The pumps shall have been sized correctly to accommodate existing and future flow.
(G) The pump station shall be surrounded by a six- foot fence, with three strands of barbed wire, have an area light and have an adequate gate for pump station servicing.
(H) Every lift station shall have an outdoor spigot, with metal post in front for protection, if lift station is within 300 feet of municipal water line, or the developer shall install a well.
