Any house mover who fails to obtain a license as required by this chapter, or who has obtained a license hereunder and fails to display it, as required, or who violates any of the provisions of this chapter, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be subject to penalty as provided in section 1-4-1 of this code; provided, however, that each offense, or violation of this chapter shall be deemed a separate and distinct offense.
