   705.01 SCOPE AND CONFLICT.
   (a)   The provisions of this Business Regulation Code deal with the regulation and licensing of businesses, trades and/or occupations other than those involving the construction industry.
   (b)   The provisions of this chapter apply to licenses generally and should be construed, if possible, so as to be in accord with the provisions of subsequent chapters of this code dealing with the licensing of specified business activity. In the event of conflict between the provisions of this chapter and the provisions of subsequent chapters, the latter shall prevail.

   705.02 LICENSE APPLICATION; FALSE INFORMATION.
   (a)   Application for a license required under the provisions of this Business Regulation Code shall be made to the City Auditor on forms furnished by the City. Such application shall be made at least two calendar days prior to the date upon which the applicant desires the license to be effective and shall set forth the following information:
      (1)   Name of the applicant and of each officer, partner or business associate;
      (2)   Occupation and place of business of the applicant;
      (3)   Place of residence of the applicant at the time of the application and for at least five years next preceding the date of the application;
      (4)   Nature and location of the intended business or enterprise;
      (5)   Period of time for which the license is desired;
      (6)   If a vendor, a description of the merchandise to be sold;
      (7)   Such other information concerning the applicant and his business as may be required under the code provisions covering the particular licensed activity or as may be reasonable and proper, having regard for the nature of the license required.
   (b)   Renewal of the license may abe granted to a licensee based upon the original application; provided that he licensee shall report any changes in the information contained in the original application.
   (c)   No person shall knowingly make any false statement or representation in such application.

   705.021 STATE EXEMPTIONS; REGISTRATION REQUIRED.
   The provisions of Chapter 705 relative to obtaining a license and the payment of a license fee shall not apply to persons exempt from obtaining such license under the provisions of Ohio R.C. 715.63 and 715.64; however, such exempt persons shall be required to register with the City by furnishing the applicable information requested by Section 705.02 and such registration and information shall be provided before any such exempt person engages in vending activities.
