STOPPING, STANDING OR PARKING RESTRICTED OR PROHIBITED ON CERTAIN STREETS
§ 72.40 APPLICATION OF SUBCHAPTER.
   The provisions of this subchapter prohibiting the standing or parking of a vehicle shall apply at all times or at those times herein specified or as indicated on official signs except when it is necessary to stop a vehicle to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with the directions of a police officer or official traffic-control device.

§ 72.41 PARKING PROHIBITED AT ALL TIMES ON CERTAIN STREETS.
   When signs are erected giving notice thereof, no person shall park a vehicle at any time upon any of the streets described in Chapter 78, Schedule V as from time to time amended by resolution of the Board of Public Works & Safety, attached to and made part of this traffic code.

§ 72.42 PARKING PROHIBITED DURING CERTAIN HOURS ON CERTAIN STREETS.
   When signs are erected giving notice thereof, no person shall park a vehicle at the locations and times specified in Chapter 78, Schedule VI as from time to time amended by resolution duly adopted by the Board of Public Works & Safety and made a part of this traffic code.

§ 72.43 PARKING TIME LIMITED ON CERTAIN STREETS.
   (A)   Parking spaces in the Downtown Square Parking as defined in Chapter 78, Schedule VII shall be free for motor vehicles for up to two consecutive hours each calendar day during the hours of 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and city holidays). The two consecutive hour period for each calendar day (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and city holidays) shall begin at 9:00 a.m. or immediately upon parking, whichever is later, and end two hours later until 5:00 p.m. Furthermore, the two consecutive hour period shall be limited where signage indicates that special parking duration limitations apply.
   (B)   When signs are erected giving notice thereof, no person shall park a vehicle for longer than the time specified in Chapter 78, Schedule VII as from time to time amended by resolution duly adopted by the Board of Public Works & Safety and made a part of this traffic code.

§ 72.44 SIGNAGE REQUIRED.
   Except for those prohibitions in § 72.12, no prohibition, regulation, or limitation relating to stopping, standing, or parking imposed under this or any other ordinance of this city shall be effective unless signs are erected and in place at the time of any alleged offense. It shall be the duty of the Board of Public Works & Safety to see that such signs are erected and maintained.

§ 72.45 ACTS TO EVADE THE PARKING TIME LIMITATION ON CERTAIN STREETS PROHIBITED.
   (A)   No person shall move a vehicle from one parking place on a street listed in Chapter 78, Schedule VII directly to another parking place on a street listed in Chapter 78, Schedule VII, as from time to time amended by resolution of the Board of Public Works & Safety.
   (B)   Any person who violates the terms and conditions of this section shall be issued a citation and pay a fine, court costs, and/or penalty pursuant to the terms and procedures set out in § 70.99.
