The Board of Building Standards shall organize yearly by electing a Chairman, who shall preside at meetings. The Director of Public Safety or his duly authorized designee shall serve as Secretary of the Board and shall have no vote. Such Board shall have the power and authority to establish its own rules of procedure and to police or dismiss any member for cause or for violation of any adopted rules and regulations so long as the same are not incompatible with this chapter and general law.
