There is hereby established a Board of Building Standards, consisting of five persons appointed by the Mayor and approved by Council. The terms of members of the Board shall be for a period of five years from the date of appointment. However, initial appointments shall be for terms of one through five years, respectively, so that thereafter only one term shall expire each year.
