§ 52.01 TITLE AND PURPOSE.
   (A)   This subchapter shall be known as the Drinking Water Protection Plan.
   (B)   (1)   It is the purpose of this subchapter to promote the public health, safety and general welfare, and to minimize public and private losses due to contamination of the public water supply, and to formalize groundwater protection/pollution abatement and control procedures.
      (2)   Specific goals are to:
         (a)   Protect human life and health;
         (b)   Ensure that the public is provided with a sustainable safe potable water supply;
         (c)   Minimize expenditure of public money for pollution remediation projects;
         (d)   Minimize regulations on land use; and
         (e)   Minimize business interruptions.
