A. Although not a founding member of the District, a county, city, or town may become a member of the District by adopting a resolution of its governing body requesting to join the District. Membership shall be effective upon approval by a majority vote of all members of the Board to add the county, city, or town as a member of the District. The new member must adopt an Ordinance substantially in conformance with this Chapter within 60 days of the Board’s approval to join the District.
B. A member of the District may voluntarily withdraw from the District after a minimum period of 3 years following inclusion as a member. A member of the District may voluntarily withdraw from the District by adopting a resolution for withdrawal from the District and providing notice of their intent to withdraw by January 1st of an odd-numbered year. The withdrawal shall become effective on July 1st of such odd-numbered year.
C. Members of the District may remove any member of the District by a super majority vote (75% or more) of all members of the District. Such removal shall become effective on July 1st of the next odd-numbered year.
