507.03 EXCEPTIONS.
   In the following cases, proof of which shall be an affirmative defense, a minor in or upon a public place during the hours prohibited by Section 507.02 shall not be considered in violation of this chapter:
   (a)    When accompanied by a parent of such minor.
   (b)    When accompanied by an adult authorized by a parent of such minor to take the parent's place in accompanying the minor for a designated period of time and purpose.
   (c)    When exercising rights protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution and Article I, §3 and §11 of the Ohio Constitution, such as the free exercise of religion, freedom of speech and the right of assembly.
   (d)    In case of reasonable necessity.
   (e)    When the minor is on the sidewalk of the place where such minor resides, or on the sidewalk of either next-door neighbor when such neighbor does not object to the minor's presence.
   (f)    While at, and when returning home by a direct route from and within thirty (30) minutes of the termination of, an official school, religious or civic activity.
   (g)    While engaged in, and when returning home by a direct route from and within thirty (30) minutes of the termination of, a period of employment.
   (h)    While at and when going directly to or from a lawful entertainment, sporting, or other like venues with the knowledge and consent of the parent.
   (i)    When engaged in interstate travel.
