A. Recommend to the City Council the boundaries of the various original zoning districts of the City and appropriate regulations and restrictions to be enforced therein.
B. After the adoption of such zoning district boundaries, regulations and restrictions, the City Planning and Zoning Commission may recommend to the City Council amendments, supplements, changes or modifications. (Ord. 1355, 5-3-1976)
C. Before presenting any recommendation to the City Council, the commission shall, with due diligence, prepare a preliminary report and hold a public hearing thereon before submitting its final recommendation to the City Council, in accordance with the requirements of section 12-4-2 of this Code. The City Council shall not hold its public hearings or take action until it has received the final recommendation from the City Planning and Zoning Commission. (Ord. 1355, 5-3-1976; amd. 2017 Code)
