9-10-21: ADMINISTRATIVE REVIEW:
An owner or operator of a vehicle alleged to have been parked in violation of any regulation contained in this chapter may, at the time of appearance at the Office of the City Clerk or at the Police Department on a notice of fine, request an administrative review of the alleged violation in lieu of a court appearance. The request must be filed within thirty (30) days of the notice of fine. It shall be on a form approved by the Chief of Police and shall include the name, mailing address and phone number of the person requesting the review and a statement of the facts upon which a denial of the charge is based. The request for administrative review may be accepted by either the Office of the City Clerk or the Parking Enforcement Bureau at the Mason City Police Department. The date of filing shall be noted on the request and shall stop the running of the thirty (30) day period during which the violation may be admitted by payment of the initial fine amount.
