9-10-3: STOPPING, STANDING OR PARKING PROHIBITED DURING CERTAIN HOURS, OR BY NONPERMITTED VEHICLES; SIGNS REQUIRED:
Where signs are erected prohibiting stopping, standing or parking during certain hours or by nonpermitted vehicles, no person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle, or allow a vehicle to remain parked, upon such street or portion of such street during the hours when such is prohibited, or without continuously displaying a valid and readily visible City issued parking permit for that section. The Mason City Engineering Department shall direct the Operations and Maintenance Department to install appropriate signs upon order of the Administrator.
Where temporary signs are erected at least eight (8) hours prior to the start of a project prohibiting stopping, standing or parking during certain periods for the purpose of snow removal, tree removal, street repairs or excavating, no person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle, or allow a vehicle to remain parked, upon such street or portion of such street during the hours signs are in place.
