6-3-5: DRAINAGE CONNECTIONS REQUIRED:
The owner of any lot or property subject to the provisions of this chapter shall cause all downspouts, drain tiles or drainage systems for surface or subsurface water to be connected with storm sewers:
   A.   When the roof area exceeds fifty percent (50%) of the lot area; or
   B.   Where the water from the roof area is now discharged directly or indirectly into a sanitary sewer; or
   C.   Where downspouts now discharge onto, across or under a public sidewalk, pavement or paved area or onto an area which drains onto a public street, avenue, alley or sidewalk; or
   D.   Where the area of a paved area is in excess of fifty percent (50%) of the area of the lot upon which it is situated, and where the slope and grade of such paved area is such that the water from said paved area runs onto or across any public street, avenue, alley or sidewalk; or
   E.   Where the area of the paved area plus the area of the roof area when combined exceeds fifty percent (50%) of the lot area. (Ord. 723, 6-4-1956)
