6-1-18: PRIVATE FIRE HYDRANTS:
Private fire hydrants or standpipes may be installed under the direction and supervision of the City Engineer. All valves thereto shall be sealed closed. Water therefrom may be used for fire purposes only, and when the seal has been broken for that purpose, notice of such breaking must be given immediately to the Water Department. If any person shall break such a seal or use water from said hydrant for other than fire purposes, a charge of twenty five dollars ($25.00) for use of water, as per signed agreement, shall be made.
