4-1-13: MUNICIPAL INFRACTION:
In addition to or in lieu of serving the owner with a notice to abate an alleged nuisance or condition, the authorized Municipal officer having probable cause to believe that such nuisance or other prohibited condition exists may cause the creation or maintenance of the alleged nuisance or other condition to be prosecuted as a Municipal infraction in accordance with the provisions of title 1, chapter 4, article A of this Code and may seek in addition to or in lieu of the civil penalties imposed for Municipal infractions, a court order granting the City appropriate relief to abate or to halt the violation. A wilful failure of a defendant to pay a civil penalty or a violation of the terms or any other order of court granting appropriate relief is punishable as contempt.
