A. Fee: The application for an excavator's license shall be accompanied by the license fee of one hundred dollars ($100.00).
B. Bond: Each application for an excavator's license shall be accompanied by a bond, for the period said license is in effect, in the penal sum of ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00) conditioned that the excavator will replace any street surfaces or installations of public utilities in streets in as good condition as they were before the excavation, that he will hold the City harmless on account of claims by any person as a result of such excavation or blasting activities and that he will pay any and all damages for which he is legally liable as a result of such excavation and blasting activities. C. Insurance: The applicant shall file with the Clerk evidence of public liability insurance acceptable to the City to be in full force and effect for the period of said license, with minimum limits of three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000.00) for property damage, one million dollars ($1,000,000.00) for a single personal injury or death, and one million dollars ($1,000,000.00) for multiple injuries or deaths, which insurance shall indemnify and hold harmless the City from the same risks as hereinbefore provided for corporate surety bonds. Said liability insurance shall contain coverage for all blasting and excavating operations performed by the licensee. (Ord. 1099, 2-2-1970; amd. 1985 Code; 2017 Code)
D. Term Of License: All excavators' licenses shall expire on March 31 following the date of their issuance. (Ord. 1099, 2-2-1970)
