2.64.010   Created.
   The following boards and commissions are created and shall be appointed and carry out such duties as are provided in this division:
   A.   Library Board;
   B.   Planning and Zoning Commission;
   C.   Civil Defense Council;
   D.   Youth Center Board.

2.64.020   Notice of appointment.
   Each member shall be given notice of his appointment by a certificate which shall state his appointment, date, date of expiration and shall bear the signature of the mayor, attestation of the city clerk-treasurer and the city seal. Each member shall hold office until his successor is qualified. (Prior code § 3-1-2)
2.64.030   Meetings.
   AH meetings of the boards and commissions shall be held at City Hall or such other public building as may be designated. (Prior code § 3-1-3)
2.64.040   Quorum.
   A majority of all the members of a board or commission delegation shall constitute a quorum for the transacting of business. A motion shall carry upon the majority vote of members present at any meeting. (Prior code § 3-1-4)
2.64.050   Removal from office.
   The city commission may remove any member of any board or commission named in Section 2.64.010 by the majority vote of members upon the grounds of malfeasance or nonfeasance of office or for any reason whatsoever upon the affirmative vote of all of the members. (Prior code § 3-1-5)
2.64.060   Termination.
   The tenure of any member of a board or commission shall be automatically terminated if such member shall absent himself from more than two consecutive regular meetings of his board or commission without having notified his chairman in advance of the reason for such absence, provided that the city commission, at its discretion, may continue any member in office if sufficient reason be shown for his absence.
