16.03.040   Generally.
   A.   The final plat shall conform substantially to the preliminary plat as approved, and if desired by the subdivider, it may constitute only that portion of the approved preliminary plat which he proposes to record and develop at the time; provided, that such portions conform to all requirements of this chapter.
   B.   Application for approval of the final plat shall be submitted in writing to the city engineer at least ten days prior to the meeting at which it is to be considered. At the time the final subdivision plat is filed, the required fee shall be paid.
   C.   Two copies of the final plat and other exhibits required for approval shall be prepared as specified in Section 16.03.050 and shall be submitted to the city engineer within six months after approval of the preliminary plat; otherwise, such approval shall become null and void, unless an extension of time is applied for and granted by the planning and zoning commission.
   D.   The planning and zoning commission shall approve or disapprove the final plat within fifteen days after final submission thereof and thereafter forward to the city commission the report of its approval or disapproval.
   E.   The city commission shall, at its next regular meeting and within fifteen days, approve or disapprove the final plat. (Ord. 447 (part), 2003)
