The Lexington Urban Renewal and Community Development Agency shall be terminated on the effective date of this Charter. Pursuant to KRS 99.330 to 99.510, the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government shall be designated as a "community." All powers, functions, rights, duties and privileges of an urban renewal and community development "agency" shall be vested in said "community" and shall be delegated to the Division of Urban Renewal in the Department of Housing and Community Development in accordance with the provisions of KRS 99.490.
The members of the former Lexington Urban Renewal and Community Development Agency shall constitute a five (5) member Urban Renewal Advisory Board. Said board shall advise the Division of Urban Renewal, the Mayor and the Council on all matters pertaining to urban renewal. All vacancies on said board occurring after the effective date of this Charter shall be filled by the Mayor in accordance with the provisions of Section 7.02 of this Charter.
