LEXINGTON-FAYETTE COUNTY, KENTUCKY ZONING ORDINANCE
Sec. 7.08. - Parks and Recreation.
The Lexington Board of Parks Commissioners shall continue after the effective date of this Charter as the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Board of Parks Commissioners. Said board shall advise the Department of Parks and Recreation on all matters pertaining to the operation and administration of all parks and recreation programs of the Merged Government.
All vacancies occurring on said board after the effective date of this Charter shall be filled by the Mayor, subject to the provisions of Section 7.02 of this Charter.
Annotation—The Urban County Government has not elected to operate under KRS 97.405 to 97.485. However, Code of Ordinances Section 2-396 et seq.; created the parks and recreation advisory board pursuant to KRS 67A.060 and 67A.070.
