Sec. 23-36. - Annual training incentive.
(a)   Sworn members of the division of police are entitled to receive an annual training incentive of six hundred dollars ($600.00) and an amount equal to either fourteen (14) percent of their current salary or to the amount of the training incentive provided by the Kentucky Law Enforcement Foundation Program Fund (KLEFPF), whichever is greater, subject to the training and other requirements of the program as established in KRS 15.410 to 15.510 and as the program may be amended from time to time. For purposes of this section, current salary shall not include annual sick leave payout paid pursuant to section 21-34(a), uniform allowance paid pursuant to section 23-35, mileage reimbursement paid pursuant to section 21-32, or education incentive paid pursuant to Ordinance No. 124-73.
(b)   Sworn members of the division of fire and emergency services are entitled to receive an annual training incentive of six hundred dollars ($600.00) plus an amount equal to either fourteen (14) percent of their current salary or the amount of the training incentive provided by the Kentucky Professional Firefighters Foundation Program Fund (KPFFPF), whichever is greater, subject to the training and other requirements of the program as established in KRS 95A.210 to 95A.290 and as the program may be amended from time to time. For purposes of this section, current salary shall not include annual sick leave payout paid pursuant to section 21-34(a), uniform allowance paid pursuant to section 23-35, or mileage reimbursement paid pursuant to section 21-32.
