No person shall park a truck in a loading zone in the central traffic district for the purpose of loading or unloading, if such truck is longer than twenty-four (24) feet unless by special permission of the police chief or his authorized agent, except in the following areas:
(1) Vine Street from Broadway Street to Rose Street.
(2) Water Street from Broadway Street to Limestone Street.
All passenger motor vehicles used by any person in business to deliver goods, wares and merchandise and having need to use loading zones shall bear identical business signs on both side door panels which contain the name of the business in letters three (3) inches in height and in contrasting colors. The lettering of the signs may include abbreviations so long as the identity of the business is readily ascertainable from the information given.

It shall be unlawful for any seller and for any driver, or handler, or for any agent or employee, of any seller to deliver or to transport for delivery, to any purchaser in a residential district any commodity at any time on Sunday or between the hours of 6:30 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. on other days; but in case of emergency, the police chief may issue a permit for transportation and delivery on Sunday or between the hours above named on other days.
The director, division of traffic engineering is hereby authorized and directed to establish bus stops and taxicab stands and stands for other passenger common carrier motor vehicles on such public streets in such places and in such number as he shall determine to be of the greatest benefit to the public; and every such bus stop, taxicab stand or other stand shall be designated by appropriate signs, where deemed necessary.
All bus stops, taxicab stands, or other stands, which have been approved by the director, division of traffic engineering shall be installed, marked and maintained by the person operating motor buses at the stands and, where deemed necessary by the director, division of traffic engineering, shall be marked by signs specifying "bus stop," "taxicab stands" or other such designation, which shall be uniform in size, shape and color.
(a) The operator of a bus shall not stand or park such vehicle upon any street at any place other than at a bus stand so designated as provided herein.
(b) The operator of a bus shall not stop such vehicle upon any street at any place for the purpose of loading or unloading passengers or their baggage other than at a bus stop so designated as provided herein, except in case of an emergency.
(c) The operator of a bus shall enter a bus stop on a public street in such a manner that the bus, when stopped to load or unload passengers or baggage, shall be in a position with the right wheels of such vehicle not farther than twelve (12) inches from the curb and the bus approximately parallel to the curb so as not to unduly impede the movement of other vehicular traffic.
(d) The operator of a taxicab shall not stand or park such vehicle upon any street in the central traffic district at any place other than in a taxicab stand designated as provided in sections 18-139 and 18-140. This provision shall not prevent the operator of a taxicab from temporarily stopping in accordance with other stopping or parking regulations at any place for the purpose of and while actually engaged in the expeditious loading or unloading of passengers.
