10.24.010 Designation.
Whenever in this code, any street or portion thereof is designated or described as a street the use of which is permitted by any commercial vehicle exceeding a maximum gross weight limit of six thousand pounds, the city manager shall designate such street or portion thereof by appropriate signs as "truck traffic routes" for the movement of commercial vehicles exceeding a maximum gross weight limit of six thousand pounds.

10.24.020 Driving on required route.
When any such truck traffic route or routes are established and designated by appropriate signs, no person shall drive or park any commercial vehicle exceeding a maximum gross weight limit of six thousand pounds on any street or portion of a street except those so designated as "truck traffic routes," except as permitted by Section 35703 of the Vehicle Code of the state of California. The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to passenger buses under the jurisdiction of the Public Utilities Commission, pursuant to the provisions of Sections 1031 to 1036, inclusive, of the Public Utilities Code. The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to any state highway (Beach Boulevard and Santa Ana Freeway).

10.24.030 Streets designated.
The following streets and parts of streets are declared to be truck traffic routes for the movement of commercial vehicles exceeding a maximum gross weight of six thousand pounds:
   (1)   Valley View Avenue;
   (2)   Imperial Highway;
   (3)   Leffingwell Road;
   (4)   Telegraph Road;
   (5)   Artesia Boulevard;
   (6)   Beach Boulevard;
   (7)   Firestone Boulevard, north;
   (8)   Firestone Boulevard, south.
