§ 50.07  MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR OF SERVICE CONNECTIONS; RESPONSIBILITY.
   Whenever any service to any building or premises becomes clogged, broken, out of order or in any condition detrimental to the use of the wastewater services, the owner, agent or occupant having charge of the building or premises shall be held responsible for the immediate renewal or repair of that wastewater service necessary to maintain an uninterrupted sanitary disposal system. Repairs made to lines from property line or cleanout to structure is the responsibility of owner, agent or occupant. Repairs made to lines from property lines or cleanout to main is the responsibility of the town. Whenever any repair work is performed as required by this section, the work shall be performed only by a licensed plumber approved by the town to perform this type of work by the town.

§ 50.08  PROHIBITED DISCHARGES.
   (A)   It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to deposit, or cause to be deposited or discharged, or permit to be discharged into any part of the wastewater system the following substances:
      (1)   Any corrosive, volatile, inflammable or explosive liquid, gas, vapor or material of any kind;
      (2)   Any acid trade waste or effluent from the manufacture of chemicals or other products in which acid or chemicals are used as part of the process of treatment or manufacture;
      (3)   Any trade waste containing oily and greasy substances, likely to cause accretion on the sides of the wastewater system;
      (4)   Any used motor oils or greases, or similar substances;
      (5)   Any trade waste containing large quantities of hair or fiber or other substances which may obstruct the wastewater system or cause any undue cleaning of the wastewater system; or
      (6)   Any fish offal, garbage, dead animals or similar types of waste.
   (B)   No person operating a garage or filling station who offers as service the washing of automobiles, trucks or other vehicles shall release into the wastewater system water so used, without first providing a settling basin of sufficient size to permit the sedimentation of the solids from those operations. This basin or pit shall be maintained in good working condition and shall be cleaned as often as required to remove the major portion of mud and other refuse that may be accumulated therein.

§ 50.09  DAMAGE OR OBSTRUCTION OF SYSTEM PROHIBITED.
   It shall be unlawful for any person to damage, tamper with or otherwise do harm to the mains, pipes, apparatus or other part of the wastewater system, or to place or cause to be placed any object of any nature whatsoever into the system that will block or obstruct or impede the normal flow in the system.

§ 50.10  WASTEWATER CHARGES.
   (A)   A fee shall be charged for the use of the sanitary sewer system. The fee charged shall be determined by a schedule of fees adopted by the Town Board each year.
   (B)   The wastewater charge shall be billed to each consumer at the same time that water bills are rendered and shall be collected at the same time and in the same manner as water accounts.
   (C)   Any consumer who uses a large quantity of water which is not returned to the town wastewater system may, without any cost or expense to the town, install a separate water meter to measure the amount of water so used, and will be billed by the town each month for the water so used at regular water rates in effect for the town, and will be charged no wastewater charge for this meter.

REQUESTS FOR WASTEWATER
SERVICE EXTENSIONS
§ 50.25  REQUESTS FOR WASTEWATER SERVICE EXTENSION.
   From and after the effective date of this subchapter, any property owner, or owners, desiring wastewater service shall apply in writing to the Town Board requesting the extension of wastewater service. No request for the extension of services shall be considered unless submitted in writing in accordance with the requirements of this subchapter.

§ 50.26  STANDARDS AND SPECIFICATIONS.
   (A)   The minimum distance for any extension of a wastewater main shall be determined by the Town Board. In general, wastewater extensions shall be from manhole to manhole.
   (B)   The size of wastewater mains to be installed and the other required system facilities shall be determined by the Town Board in accordance with the recognized standards and accepted engineering practices and design.
