ARTICLE V
NOMINATIONS AND ELECTIONS
   Nominations for municipal elective offices shall be made only by nonpartisan petitions filed with the Board of Elections of Cuyahoga County not later than ninety (90) days prior to the next regular municipal election. Each candidate for Mayor shall file a petition signed by not less than one hundred and fifty (150) registered electors of the Municipality. Each candidate for Council or any other elective municipal office shall file a petition signed by not less than one hundred (100) registered electors of the Municipality. Each petition when filed must be accompanied by the written acceptance of the nominee.
   The ballot used in the election of officers of the Municipality shall be without party mark or designation. The names of all candidates for any office shall be placed on the same ballot and shall be rotated in the manner required by the general laws of the State of Ohio. Except as otherwise provided in this Charter, the general laws of the State of Ohio shall govern the nomination and election of elective officers of the Municipality.
