1305.04 EXPIRATION FOR WORK CESSATION; SAFETY PRECAUTIONS.
In the event such work is commenced and there is an interruption or cessation of such work for a period of six months or more on any project for which a building permit has been issued, then upon notice by the Building Commissioner to the holder of the building permit, which notice may be posted on the premises wherein the permitted work is being carried on, the building permit shall become null and void and no further work shall be performed unless a new permit is taken out by the owner or his agent and the fees provided for an original permit in Chapter 1307 are paid therefor. Whenever there is a cessation of work for any period, the holder of the permit shall fill in or protect all excavations and take such measures to protect property and materials on the site and abate any nuisance or dangerous condition as the Building Commissioner shall direct.
