A YARD SALE is the sale or presentation for sale from a residence or residential property. This includes the use of the residence, yard, driveway, garage or other attached buildings of tangible personal property, incidental sales of one or two items of personal property shall not be included when such sale is not a part of the general sale of a number of items of personal property. TAG SALE, SPECIAL SALE or other designations shall be covered by this chapter no matter what words are used.

(A) A single yard sale shall not last longer than four consecutive days.
(B) Yard sales may be conducted no more than three times per calendar year from a residence.
(C) The sale may be conducted only during daylight hours.
(D) The sale shall be conducted only by the owner or occupant of the premises.

(A) No person conducting the sale shall place merchandise offered beyond the edge of the sidewalk nearest to the home or garage, nor shall any merchandise be placed on the property of another party without first obtaining the permission of the adjoining property owner or occupant.
(B) In the event that no sidewalks exist at the residence, then the merchandise offered for sale shall hot be placed closer than ten feet from the abutting street.
(C) No sale shall be conducted in any way so as to impede pedestrian or vehicular traffic on any sidewalk, street or public way in the city. All traffic regulations shall apply and be strictly enforced.
