The sign administrator for the city shall be the director of the building and safety department or the administrator's designees. It shall be the administrator's responsibility to review, approve and process applications for and issue sign permits; to conduct public hearings to resolve requests received for variances to the general sign regulations before the board of adjustment; to enter any premises, building or structure in the city following the presentation of proper credentials for the purpose of inspection of a sign and its structural and/or electrical connections to ensure compliance with applicable codes and ordinances; and to enforce and carry out all provisions of this code.
